In this Marcy Inspired Bonus Video, my friend Olivia visits from Phoenix and we plan a Girl's Trip to Truth or Consequences (T or C for short). It's a small town about an hours drive north of Las Cruces, New Mexico. While it was named after a popular game show in 1950, it's original name was "Hot Springs" because of the natural hot springs found in the area. We went to soak in mineral rich hot water that's pumped from deep within the earth and it was so relaxing. There are quite a few bath houses in the area. We went to Riverbend where we had a private pool overlooking the Rio Grande. We had lunch there and did a little shopping in a few second hand shops. The next day, we got up early and went to the Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally in Las Cruces. It's not anywhere near the size of the renowned Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (which is massive), but for the small town of Las Cruces, it seemed perfect. We enjoyed the mass ascension in the morning with about 15 to 20 hot air balloons. When the sun came up, it illuminated the brightly colored balloons and seemed magical. Later in the evening we also returned for the balloon glow. This is when the balloons are inflated but are tethered to the ground and the light from the propane burners causes the balloons to glow like giant lanterns in the night sky. It was beautiful. ...
