The political stalemate in Tamil Nadu continues as Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) struggles to secure the 118 MLAs required to form a majority government. Amid allegations of poaching, TVK released a video showing Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazagam (AMMK) MLA Kamaraj voluntarily signing a letter of support for Vijay's party. This comes in response to AMMK General Secretary TTV Dinakaran, who met the Tamil Nadu Governor and claimed that TVK submitted a forged letter of support. Dinakaran stated his party backs the AIADMK and its Chief Ministerial candidate, Edappadi K. Palaniswami. While TVK has approached the CPM, CPI, and VCK for support, VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan is yet to announce his final decision. The Left parties have indicated they will only provide external support to TVK while remaining in the DMK alliance.
